Need an experienced mastermind for your heist?
While you can run Truck It in the Cello yourself, an external facilitator can:
- Make it fun and easy to get the game rolling with your team
- Guide the post-game debrief in a way that draws out actionable insights
- Free you up to participate in the play
Staging a heist...
Becoming a musician-thief
In Truck it in the Cello, your group of 3 or 4 players each take on the role of a member of a band. Together you will overcome challenges to try and sneak your prize out of the theatre without being caught.
What you need
To play Truck It, you will need one digital device per player, and everyone will need a Trello account. This game is about getting better at using Trello after all!
How to play
We’ve designed Truck it in the Cello for people who are unfamiliar with Trello, but want to be. The game, the instructions and everything you need to know is all on a single Trello board. There are no other documents or webpages you will need to refer to.
This is a team game so you will need a way to communicate. Have a video call or similar prepared so you can coordinate effectively.
Playing with a facilitator
Truck it in the Cello is designed to teach Trello basics, and also spark insights about teamwork. While it is designed to work without a facilitator, a good facilitator can smooth the experience, hold space for deeper inquiry, and even situate the game within a larger workshop or program.
You don't need to be a professional facilitator to help your friends get more out of Truck it in the Cello. Even if you've just played before, or you're a confident gamer who has read the rules ahead of time, you can uplift the play experience for others.
Want to run a heist on a different app?
We designed Truck it in the Cello for Trello because it's what we use, and because it's a popular free app. But there's no reason it couldn't work on other popular card-based planning tools like Microsoft Planner or Jira.
We'd love to work with you to adapt Truck It in the Cello to your unique teamwork needs. Learn more about our services on our TeamFit page, or just send us a message using the form below.
